Swedegas
Swedegas is the hub of the Swedish gas market. As a transmission system operator (TSO), we assume overall responsibility for the long-term development of the Swedish core grid and for ensuring that the market always has safe and efficient access to gas.
Swedegas owns and operates the gas grid, which extends from Dragør to Stenungsund and transports energy to distributors and directly connected customers. The gas grid supplies gas to 33 municipalities, several combined heat and power plants and industrial users.
We are working actively to increase the proportion of renewable gas in our existing systems. In 2022, the proportion of biogas corresponded to 37.5% of the entire western Swedish gas grid.
